Peter Tracy & Bob Jacob

I had been singing at hospices for a couple of years when I read Perspective, a book of poems written by Bob Jacob, also a hospice volunteer. Bob goes from bed to bed reading what he calls, 'loving words.' His poems (I call them stories), are about the patients and their reaction to his poetry. Their lives, their sorrows and their joys are depicted in beautiful prose. Perspective was nominated for a Pulitzer and a National Book award.

I was so moved by Perspective I decided to put together a 'musical reading' by combining my music and Bob's reading. The Loving Words CD was introduced in 2008 and performances by Bob and I followed. Every donation to AAH receives a free copy of both Loving Words and Perspective.
