I have been a hospice volunteer for 12 years, since my wife died. In 2000 I self published "Through Death to life - A man chronicles his journey through the suffering and death of his wife, and his healing, sharing the testing of faith, the sadness of loss and the triumph of spirit."
It contains free verse poetry I wrote during the caregiving years and during my grief journey, along with prose and some letters to my children sharing more of my journey. The book is the basis of my ministry of grief support, grief support training and promoting hospice throughout the state of Michigan. I wrote as I llived it and share it to help those walking that same path.
